FISH COUNTS
MOSQUITO CREEK

Mosquito Creek is fish passable from its mouth at Burrard Inlet up to Queens Road.
Further upstream access is permanently blocked by the Queens Road culvert.
There are no plans to change it.

The Fell Channel was constructed in the fall of 1999. The fry survey was done to estimate fish population.

The Griffin Channel was constructed in the summer of 1998. Spawning coho were observed in the Fall of 1998 and 1999 and cutthroat in the Spring of 1999. The fry survey was done to estimate fish distribution and density.
Fry trapping, using the mark/recapture method, was conducted with the help of volunteers on February 26 and March 4, 2000.
